Re: Rocket Science and Chopper Building

I agree with the "engineer + artist = designer" equation. Yes, we are all going for the personal vision to creation. Yes, we may build with the intent to sell, or build to ride and sell to finish the next project. Either way, it would be nice if it rode well. Ill handling machines are a ch...

Re: slugging a frame

Re: Had to sell one of my Projects

Bummer on the sale, I hate it when that happens. I'm doing a cafe cb-450 for my wife right now, it was a freebie. ( I should probably do a build thread on that)

Re: The Chopper Handbook

I tell everyone I can about both sites. Most of my friends and contacts off the boards don't have the fab skills to do more than bolt ons, and seem to be overwhelmed by the idea. Those with the fab skills lack the space or tooling. I'm working on it, though. I am in the lack o' tooling boat. Gonna b...

Re: Crime Scene Knock Off Jig

I was just going through the build thread. Looking real nice. Excellent lines on your frame. Didn't we have a talk about flame thrower tips? Good luck on the girder, too.

Re: Artistry Plumbing

Ever try sta-brite liquid flux? As a tattoo artist from the old school, I have tried all of them on stainless. We all use sta-brite, that and ruby fluid paste were the only ones that worked worth a crap. Good luck on your project. I realize thats not stainless, but since those worked on ss...

Re: Making Cable Ends

I used plumbing solder to build tattoo needles, they're stainless, didn't matter what kind. The flux was the important part, stay brite was the only one worth a crap.
