Re: CBH springer top tree fab dimension question
you should do a build thread id love to see it and im sure others would chime in and help along the way I've been thinking about a build thread. I'm doing one on shovelhead.us board - that's where I went to the dark side, after this site crashed several years ago. :D Dan's a member there, as well. ...

Re: Shout out to Railroad Bob
Yep - ARE 205 Torq-Thrust II 15" x 14" with Hoosier LT 29 x 18.5R15 on the rear. The John's Industries 9" Ford rear end was narrowed to keep the tires within the fenders - like a pro-street setup - 4 link with panhard bar and coilovers. Pete and Jakes did the chassis and I modified it...

CBH springer top tree fab dimension question
The top tree plan view (sheet SF1.1) shows the outline of the large dust shield and the 1.250" bore thru for the steering stem (section D-D), but doesn't show dimensions for the counterbore that allows the bearing adjuster nut, lock washer and bearing lock nut. This scales out to about 1 15/16&...

Re: Shout out to Railroad Bob
And if you can, I would like to see your other rides you built. Nice looking rides Bob! The AMX is is really nice (I'm a sucker for vintage hot rods/cars). That 'ol Ford truck looks like a workhorse (very well taken care of). Also, excellent paint job on the bike - did you do that? Give me a little...

Shout out to Railroad Bob
Hi Bob - long time no see. Looks like you've got the whole place to your self! Mind if I pull up a chair and visit for a while? P.S. - I read your thread about Cruise Night in Abilene. We went about 10 years ago and enjoyed the cars and the laid back atmosphere - good times! RailRoad Bob 0...

Re: Some contradictory info on CBH website
I'm just getting into my CBH springer build and have become a little confused myself on the whole rocker length/angle bit. I don't have an answer for you, but will muddy the waters some more, if you haven't seen it already: http://choppercompendium.com/ccforum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=494&sid=4b...

In an article titled "Getting Legal In Japan" by Nick Robinson on page 68, he mentions dan and going to the Phyco Rally in Yamanashi.
Sounds like dan is becoming a regular in The Horse!
