mobile no longer! fixed my engine hoist, built a skid and lifted lathe off wheels onto skid! reason for skis is that i noticed that while on the wheels it was at a reasonable height for me (6ft 4) so i built a stand to list it up. could now be moved with a pallet jack!

I don't know who built that Springer but something is horribly wrong with it. Notice that both the rebound and compression springs are both at almost complete compression with no room left between the coils for any 'spring' action to take place. I've seen a few like this in some of the magazines. L...

Am I missing something? I don't see any reference about how far from the steering neck you should place the carpenter's square to align the steering axis and the 90* angle. Variable, I suppose? Guess it depends on the rake angle and length of forks. Do your rules account for those variables, or am ...
