Re: Urgent Help with Fiberglass
Note to self. When asked any kind of "Can you?"...run. For future reference, these are some of the things I'll do next time. It would actually be a quicker way. Use High density sheet foam and cut the pieces to create the buck. Stagger the ends for rigidity. Build the buck 1" thicknes...

Urgent Help with Fiberglass
Something has been put onto my shoulders, and I'm not quite up to the task. I gotta build a MC trailer in 2-weeks. Where can i get yards of fiber fairly cheap? Is woven cloth better than random strand? Will there be a problem with radiused corners drawing in after beefing them up? Will I need to use...

...I went to check the simulator and found it did not really match???... I'm glad you've double checked the numbers in CAD! If the numbers are off by more than 0.1", you may need to double check your 2D CAD. I had the same problem and had not transfered the offsets properly to CAD. When you bu...

Re: home brew right angle drive
Double check the angle of those bevel gears. The ones I have here aren't 45*. They may not mesh properly.

Re: home brew right angle drive
Sorry GearHead, I don't spend money anymore either. I've collected a set of tools so I can build whatever I can imagine. It is a different mindset.

Re: home brew right angle drive
So, your wanting to convert shaft to chain??? That's even easier. Several yrs back I downloaded a "Spiral Bevel Gear" catalog from "Arrow Gear Company". It's loaded with tech details for the 90* drive. (It's too big to post here.)

This is for a GoldWing. Got it on BikeBandit. The biggest problems I see are the large bearing/seal and the weight of the hub.

Lowered my FZ6
AKA...I found a box of motivation and forgot to read the warning label. Quote, "Contents under pressure. USE WITH CAUTION!" The boss gave us a 4-day weekend. Friday I decided to see what it would take to remove my rear shock to cut 3/8" off the rod end. I've got no pics because I didn...

Re: Artistry Plumbing
Here's how the needle valve outputs into the final cooler. It's a simple water jacket to further cool the condensate. Quality must be measured @60*F. 4.JPG These are the componants of the refux/cooling column. I used sand to support the tube, but it still crimped at the tight bottom bend. I tried to...

Re: Artistry Plumbing
Sorry, Max. It was rather rude(dog) to abandon this thread. I'll post some more pics/info tomorrow. I just got back from a state rally. Put 400mies on the bike in the past 3 days. Did a 105mi pocker run with about 30 others. It was my 1st so I took the tail. By the end, I was in the top 10. Confiden...
