Oh! Finally! A thread about nothing. Now I can post without disturbing the flow. Usually, I would choose religion or politics, but, this time it's "me,me,me...I,I,I".

I've decided to pull the trigger to get back into the business of spring coiling and testing. I've realised a few secrets to understanding the world in the past month and realised that the baggage I've been carrying around was actually a tool that was never properly assembled.

So, what has been keeping you busy?...or bored?

We NEED to lift the ban on E-mails like hotmail and gmail!

I think it runs a lot of people off when that comes up at registration they need anouther e-mail address?

I have 2 and both are public addresses like those and rarley use one of them!

More people would be here if not for that!

Do not lift the ban on those 'free' email services. Those servers are lurker and spammer heaven. This board is about building. It's not a social media site so it doesn't need 10,000 lurking members and five contributors like most of the other boards where you can't find the good posts without wading through the swamp of junk posts. I use yahoo and I even think it's a junk service, hacked almost daily and down about 15% of the time. Most people have a 'real' email addy and use hotmail, gmail and yahoo for trivial purposes where they don't mind the spam coming in. I also have a gmail account and the inbox gets filled about every 5-days with junk mail. This board may seem 'quite' but it should be getting close to the same traffic as The Handbook site which averages about 1200 new visitors everyday and pretty regular in and out traffic of around half a million hits per month. For a small niche site that's a huge amount of interest. Of course it's nothing like Bikernet which makes everything in the world look like small stuff.
People go to that site by the thousands and for the good parts of the site you have to be a 'paid' member.

Just remembered my experiance trying to get in here Gary if not for a Friend allowing me to post under his name I am not sure I would have got in?

My ideas are just ideas and sharing my thoughts nothing more.

A guy like me with no money will not spend money on a E=mail account when he wants to put that money into his bike.

Yes it is a little slow over here.
With that being said. Like stated above. You don't have to wade through the garbage to get the info or the help that you need. It may take a while to get an answer. But when you do get the answer. It's ususally straight up and to the point. Exactly what I'm needing and looking for and it's always coming from experience and wisdom. Not the he said she said like most sites.
