This is the pic I pieced mine together from. Look at how the ratchet point attaches on yours and go from there.

That looks very clear and easy to follow - you should have no trouble with this Thomas......

Thanks sleepyonthree and hi maz, what thickness of material can i use so it is solid and strong but not to heavy and hard to weld up with my little mig welder that is rated for 1/8" thick material. I was thinking that if i bought some quarter inch thick plate that would work fine for the bracket and i should have no problem welding it up with my little mig welder.

I would have thought 1/4 inch plate would be sufficient......

If you kinda sorta (disclaimer, make it just enough different) clone the copperhead version 1/4 is more than sufficient.

Hi sleepyonthree, i am going to try and make close to the same as the copperhead bracket looks like. Should not be to hard to figure out looks fairly straight forward to build. :D

Thanks Maz, i just want to make the bracket good enough to work properly without over doing it or under doing it. Trying to figure out what material sizes and lengths i will need to make the mounting bracket. How strong does the bracket need to be is there alot of pressure exerted on it when bending tubeing, was hopeing to be able to use 1/8 thick plate since it is really cheap to purchase and weld up. :obscene-drinkingcheers:

I would probably go for 1/4 plate even if it means doubling up 1/8 plates.....
