I made one of those when I couldn't afford a good one It worked great only don't use a cordless drill to lift a big twin it will cook it quick but a regular ratchet is quick enough and make the bottom plate wide if your using on a table that clamps the front wheel it makes the jack want to twist and slide out learned that one the hard way but I do still use it from time to time

I browse that site once in awhile..have built a few things from ideas inspired from there..great site...next up is a big belt sander

There are quite a few variations on this style. Lots of used jacks and spare metal around.
