Girder Legs

Using a straight edge like a steel plate or C channel, some basic hand tools, and layout tools a jig can be made by any garage builder to produce a set of girder legs for your custom chopper. The shape is up to your imagination. The handbook provides the simple measurements to set your trail and tune a front end for any custom frame or even a stock frame.
1..Check the jig plate is square with straight edge.
2..Make a center line down the jig plate for center of you legs.
3. Measure and mark using a arrow for finer marking of distances.
4. Measure of 1 in mark on your tape measure and add 1 in to distance wanted for all measurements.
5. Mark the distance between top and bottom mounts
6. Center punch these marks.
7.Then use a string off the top location wrapped around a pen to mark a rotational line at the distance of your tree pins locations center to center so your girder links a same distance apart as the trees.
8. Measure off your center leg line on jig to this rotation line to mark for your lower offset in girder legs and center punch.
9. Drill the holes out for your mounting shaft holes in trees and front wheel spindle hole.
10. Bolt your mounts down and bend some tube and you will have some custom legs made for your chopper.
