Or in others words, the Japanese whore that gets me by until the other one is done.........

Wasnt really looking for another bike, but watched the price drop on this from 1200, to 600, then 300, so the wife bought it for me for my birthday. Cb400 with 10 over forks. Came with 3/4 of another bike.
By the time I sold off a bunch of the spare shit, I was into it for almost nothing.

First thing was to get it out of the clouds.

It came with a set of 650 wheels, so they went on, bigger drum out back, took a ton of monkeying around to make them fit with sleeves and spacers, and the front still isnt perfect, but it works.........
Drill a bunch of speed holes.

Originallly I slapped some upside down bars on, built some controls, and kept the cobbled together hardtail, front fender out back and some chain to hold it all together.

Image

Didnt like the big tank so scooped a 50 tank

Image

Slapped some paint on everything, and a cop pillar spotlight for a headlight

And this is kind of a stock to now........Makes me chuckle.
After I was done, I tallied up all the receipts. Cost of bike, brand new tires, paint, consumables, tried not to leave anything out............And barely broke $600.

I want to build a springer for it, maybe once I'm done the other bike. Would fix the geometry issues I have with the rake.
For now its fun to ride and was cheap, so the hydraulic will stay untilI geet around to it.
