Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!
Got the lower mounts made for forks and also my oil coolers have shown up.
So, now can decide where to put them. They seem to fit inside the lower rails by engine but not sure with the fittings if they will fit there. Or under the fuel tank or either together on one side of backbone or split behind the back bone on lower rails. they will not fit inside there.

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!
I have got the supports in for the mounts so it will have to twist the full I beam a bit more than just being mounted to the single plates.
They are finally ready after they cool to be welded on the jig to all the mounts.

- SELF INTRODUCTION: I was on the last board as bonustoolkit. I have changed that to my given name.
I started a project build there " File and Fit." I paln to continue that when I go back home in Dec. 2011. I first joined the board when Gary W had it in the year 2005. That was the time I really gained an interest in building chops. I have a long way to go, compared to some here.

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!
Thanks GOOD Friend!
I decided the best way to fix the spirder units was to have them swivel at a top location so the rods never seen a side force.
Made the mount for them. Welded the locations in. Modified the rockers so the ends could not hit. Drilled the forks. Then tested the action. There was about 15 install and removes during this to test but, I will say I am quite pleased with how they turned out.

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!
THANKS!
It could not have happened for me without YOU!
I am glad you approve Friend!
I am really Happy with the action also i have pushed full body wieght on the head stock and has never bottomed out and the rockers should go dead nuts 90 degrees with the rider and rest of the bike weight.
I would have fought this if even ever possible for me with out you and Jaxon!
MUCH RESPECT!

WOW! Just freakin WOW!
I don't know what to write here.... I cant tell you how impressed, cause thats not the right word.... Im awestruck.... and yeah, I hear what you're sayin that others made it possible for you to do this....but YOU did it.....
Its the knowledge base of forums like this that amaze me.... and the willingness of members to share (which I guess is why they join in the first place)....
I guess it goes without saying that this style of machine isn't to everyone's taste, but EVERYONE must appreciate the creative engineering.... Power On Mate!

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!
A Friend of mine gave me this idea to run a slide kickstand out one of my holes in the frame?
I have come up with 2 ideas to make it. What do you guys think?
Not sure if this one is even possible with space and distance needed for kickstand rod.
Here was my other thought?
Only real problem with this one is weather proffing it where slot is so it does not stick inside?
But, this design will give about a 8 in rod out make a better stand where the other is only about 4 in out?
Anybody got ideas? Got nothing but time and some tools to save for?
