Fuel rails roughed out. Started on the finish machine work....but a ways to go yet.
And dug through the junk boxes and found a few parts to use.
Boards to build on and a pressure regulator and a map sensor.

The whittled flywheel, Mazda pressure plate, VW type 5 disc and throw out....... All fit into the Porsche 901 bell housing.

Now to make an adapter to put the VW Jetta TDI starter on the Porsche 901 trans in the correct place to engage the VW type 1 ring gear.

The big work such as the chassis is going slow. Just have not had the big time to spend on the big work.
I have about settled on where the body will sit and have started on the body mount perimeter.

Re: Death By SnuSnu's Vokaro
Well I don't post much..... not a lot of reply/questions here.....so I don't post often.
But.
I purdy much lost all of December being sick with covid.
Then spent all of January getting caught up.
Now just plain busy.
I am trying to get back on the project.....just so much job to do.
That means I have not had big time to do the big parts.
I have gotten some poly seats and established position and roll bar height. Then started bending tube. I had a chassis kit from years gone by....but it was not for this car
I have been blocking up the body and setting weights on it for 2 months now. I have evened out some twist and miss-shape and have the body sitting better. That also means I had to un-do some of my made to fit parts.

Re: Death By SnuSnu's Vokaro
Actually that is the original color still on it.
When cleaned and buffed it looks like this .
But no..,.
I have tons of fiberglass work to do.
Just in my pics you can see I cut the tops out of the front wheel arches.....so I hafta bulge them out to fit.
Then I cut the whole back end off. As I lengthened the chassis I gotta create from scratch much of the back end. But I do have the valve covers below deck height....with the whole injection sticking out.
So..,I have a lot of body work and paint in my future.
I imagine silver and red like the old race porsches.
