- SELF INTRODUCTION: Hi Dan, thanks for your time and energy spent on this new board. I hope you will give me a waiver on the email account, I have used gmail so long I don't have a clue what my service provider account is.
I just returned home from a 2 week trip in New Mexico, have a few good pix, can't wait to share my off-highway traveling. Got to put 1400 miles on the scoot.

Re: Lets do a little powder coating
Damn good post, I've been running ideas thru my mind about how to build one of these.
Todd Achten built one a few years ago, did some coating for LAMF (Gary).
I think he used elements from kitchen ovens also.
Different enclosure tho.

Another good link for Maz and all the rest European fellas:
http://www.electrostaticmagic.co.uk/
I've bought my gun and some powder from them, seems good enough...
In the US you can find a really cheap gun at Harbor Freight also.
Oh and I'll post some pictures of my home-built propane oven, as soon as I get a chance to test it..
It's not completed yet (still have to mount a fan on the ceiling) but I will try it first, just to see if it works...

Re: Lets do a little powder coating
Big industrial ovens are all gas powered, otherwise it would be very expensive to feed with elettricity..
Mine is something like this, olny horizontal (dont' have any pictures yet..):
